About this collection

A collection of letters written by Levi and Harriet Dysinger, a husband-and-wife pair living states away from each other during the American Civil War. Levi was a Union soldier stationed in Huntsville, Alabama during 1865, while Harriet remained at home in Ohio. These letters provide a glimpse of their unique experiences during this period of American history.
