About this collection

The First Baptist Church of Huntsville has the honor of being one of Alabama's first Baptist churches. It was established as the West Fork of the Flint River Baptist Church, which was then shortened to Enon. It has served its congregation in several different locations since it was formed in 1809. This collection features the minutes of the First Baptist Church under its name during that time, Enon Church, and provides a glimpse into the life of the congregation at the turn of the nineteenth century.

Funding for this project was made possible through the sponsorship of the Hunt's Spring Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
