The winners used four pitchers -Busbin, James, Davis and brooks -in coasting to their lopsided win, and the four of them together gave up nine hits. Worley, Yanks' hurler, allowed the Philliees to touch him for 22 safeties. The victors tallied in every inning. Opening of the season was tentatively set for April 28, with games to start each evening at 6 o'clock.
